Police responded around 3 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 15, after receiving a report of a person shot on the 500 block of East Main Street in Bridgeport, authorities said.
The victim, a 34-year-old Bridgeport man, was taken to an area hospital and treated for multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and buttocks, said Bridgeport PD Captain Kevin Gilleran.
He is reported to be in stable condition.
The Bridgeport Police Patrol Division secured the crime scene on East Main Street and detectives responded to begin their investigation.
Detectives spoke with the victim at the hospital and, at this point, the incident appears to be isolated, Gilleran said.
